North Bay OA
Overeaters Anonymous
To the NewcomerOvereaters Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women from all walks of life who meet in order to help solve a common problem - compulsive overeating, which includes obesity, anorexia and bulimia. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop eating compulsively. Please read About OA, Our Invitation to You, attend a meeting, or contact us for more information.
Local meetings are online, hybrid and in person in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties. Whatever your problem with food, OA welcomes you. |
OA Related AnnouncementsWe are thrilled to announce that Marin and Sonoma intergroups have officially merged! This collaboration will enhance our recovery efforts and provide us with more resources to support our mission. Connection, Recovery & Giving Back—It’s All Happening at the 2025 OA Convention!
For me, conventions are just as much about the people as they are about the panels. I’m counting the days until I get to reconnect with dear friends from across Region 2—like those from Channel Islands, Valley Sierra/OA How, and Sacramento—and maybe even deepen those bonds in ways I never expected. I’m also excited about the chance to meet new fellows and expand my circle of recovery connections. There’s something truly special about sitting in continuous meetings in person—not on Zoom. I’ve often heard something at a convention that didn’t land right away… but months later, it came back to me at just the right moment. I bet you’ve had that kind of experience too. So—will I get to hang out with you? Share my experience, strength, and hope? Learn from your journey? Let’s find out--join us on the Road of Happy Destiny: Register for the 2025 Convention Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room… Yes, the cost of attending can feel like a stretch. It’s a real concern—and one I’ve felt myself. But here’s the truth: Since the shift to Zoom, 7th Tradition donations have dropped significantly. Many meetings aren’t contributing to Intergroup, Region 2, or WSO the way they used to. For me, attending the convention, staying at the hotel, and supporting fundraising efforts is my way of making amends—for the many ways I’ve received so freely from OA without always giving back. A wise OA friend once said: “I owe OA everything. This is one way I can give back some of what I’ve so freely been given.” That really stuck with me. If this speaks to your heart too, I invite you to join me: Register for the Convention Add a meal or two. Here's the menu Book a room if it’s in your budget Together, let’s build something beautiful—and keep Region 2 and Overeaters Anonymous strong for the next person who walks through the door. |
