Meetings
Meetings are gatherings of two or more compulsive eaters who come together to share their experience, strength, and hope gained from the OA program.
If you are new to OA, you might be wondering:
- How do I find a meeting?
- Which meeting should I attend?
- What can I expect at a meeting?
It really doesn’t matter which meeting you attend.
Newcomers are welcome at any meeting. What’s most important is just getting to a meeting.
Start by choosing one that’s convenient—a time that fits your schedule and a location near your home or workplace. The current meeting schedule provides details on meeting times and locations.
We suggest attending five or six different meetings, if possible, to find the best fit. Each meeting has its own format and personality, just like the members themselves.
You’re always welcome to stay after the meeting to connect with others and ask questions about the program.
